WhatsApp to allow users to edit or revoke sent messages in the next update?

If the reports are to be believed, Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new update which will allow you to edit or even remove the sent messages.

As per Twitter user WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is already testing the new feature in a beta version on iOS operating system. The feature is currently available in WhatsApp beta running on iOS 2.17.1.869 platform. WABetaInfo tweeted ” Whatsapp has added in beta possibility to edit messages that you already sent. It’s actually disabled by default and it’s under development “.

This could actually be the next big update for the giant messenger after it recently introduced the Video Calling feature. Not to forget, Whatsapp has recently announced that it will drop the support for old outdated platforms starting 2017; which means those devices wouldn’t be there for the party. These platforms include Android 2.2 Froyo or older, iOS 6.0 or older, and WP 7. That’s sad!
