Galaxy S8 to feature an AI button; launch delayed

Dedicated AI button

Samsung Galaxy S8 has already seen a lot of rumours surface. The latest one to join the rumour mill is that the upcoming Samsung flagship will allegedly have a dedicated hardware button for the advanced AI, named “Bixby”. The “AI button” is reportedly still in prototype phase and as such might not make it to the final design. But the idea of putting advanced AI capabilities front-and-center on the next Galaxy device would catapult the S8 into the same league as Google’s Pixel phones with the exclusive Google Assistant. If the rumours are to be believed, you’d be able to fire up “Bixby” with a single press.

Delayed launch

The Wall Street Journal, which claims to be in touch with the Samsung insiders, notes that the latest addition to the S series would possibly delayed until as late as April. While this news might be disappointing for many of us, I think we can all agree that if the company needs to take a little more time to deliver a solid device with no flaws, then it probably should.
