Huawei Y9a, officially announced, comes with fast charging function and Helio G80 chipset

Introduced in February this year as an affordable version of the top of the range G90, the Helio G80 remains a competent solution for low-cost gaming phones, such as the Huawei Y9a. Made using the 12 nm manufacturing process, the chip includes octa-core CPUs in 2x Cortex-A75 configuration at 2.0GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz.

Proposed at a price of about 200 euros, the Huawei Y9a is built around a 6.63-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, which plays the EMUI 10.1 interface (Android 10). Being a Huawei phone launched after the application of commercial bans imposed by the US, the firmware does not include the Google service package, which means that future buyers will have to deal with the alternative AppGallery and the rather poor selection of applications attracted so far. Huawei Y9a comes equipped with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone will also have a version with 8GB of RAM, but this will not be found in European stores.

On the pictures side, the smartphone comes equipped with a total of five cameras: 16MP front camera extracted with a pop-up mechanism, respectively a quad-camera system at the back, with 64MP main sensor, ultrawide sensor 8MP (120 ° visibility), 2MP macro sensor and 2MP DoF sensor. The manufacturer also includes a feature called EIS Video, providing digital stabilization of footage.

The list of features is completed with a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side frame, 3.5 mm jack headphone output and USB-C port, accepting powers up to 22.5W in fast charging mode. The 4300 mAh battery should provide about 2 days of battery life under moderate usage.

Huawei Y9a will be available in Space Silver, Sakura Pink and Midnight Black color versions. At the moment, only the date of the pre-order campaign for Iraq is known – September 12, but we can expect the phone to reach European stores, relatively soon.
