News, Rumors, and Leaks about Essential Smartphone:

The upcoming Essential smartphone has been in the news, ever since Android co-founder Andy Rubin posted a picture of the device on Twitter. Although we could see only a glimpse of the phone in the picture, the near bezel-less display has got our expectations sky high. Also, it seems like the recently leaked GFXBench score of the smartphone only wants us to expect more from the upcoming smartphone.

The GFXBench highlights that the Essential FIH-PM1 phone will feature a Snapdragon 835 chipset, along with 4GB RAM. It is said to sport a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front snapper. It seems that both the cameras will be able to record 4K videos, that can be enjoyed on a large 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560×1,312 pixels.

The phone will probably come running Android v7.0 Nougat out of the box and will have all the goodies including Android Assistant and split-screen multitasking. Some reports also throw light on a ceramic back panel and proprietary magnetic connectors for attaching hardware accessories.

It is to be noted that none of these specs have come from verified sources, so as usual, it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.
