Nokia 18.4 Inch Tablet Soon Available Worldwide

Remember the good old days of the Symbian era when Nokia used to reign supreme, well it looks like the Finnish manufacturer is making a comeback and a strong one at that. The Finnish company has already launched its flagship Nokia 6 in China on January 19th and the device sold out in less than one minute. The reason why Nokia made its device exclusive to Chinese residents is pretty obvious, China has double the amount of smartphone users than the US does. It’s safe to say that Nokia has taken the tech market by storm but as we’ll soon see, Nokia has just begun.

Recent reports are showing that Nokia is not only working on smartphones but it’s actually working on seizing the tablet market as well. A large 18.4 inch Android 7.0 Nougat powered tablet has been spotted on GFXBench. The reason why this tablet is believed to be one of Nokia’s devices is because its operating system has been listed as “Android FIH Edition” and the rights to FIH Mobile are owned by Nokia.

Looking at the GFXBench listing we can see that Nokia’s upcoming 18.4 inch tablet is going to be a powerhouse. The benchmark listing showed us that the device features 1440p display and 12MP cameras on both the rear and the back side. Additionally, these 12MP cameras are able of recording 4K videos. In terms of hardware power, the tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor that’s been clocked at 2.2GHz and which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. Also worth mentioning is that Nokia’s tablet will support Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, NFC, Compass and GPS.

While the upcoming Nokia tablet looks amazing, it’s going to go against a tough crowd. The tablet will especially go head to head against Samsung’s 18.4 inch Galaxy View. The main issue Nokia has to face is that their brand isn’t as recognizable as it used to be and it needs to start a good marketing campaign. Nonetheless, we can expect that during the upcoming weeks Nokia will release additional official information about the upcoming huge 18.4 inch tablet.
