Appreciated for the very good quality / price ratio, Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G could reach stores under the name POCO M3 Pro 5G, with slightly weaker finishes and price.
Successor to last year’s POCO M3, the Pro 5G version could be a much more interesting choice. Designed as a reissue of the successful Redmi Note 10 5G, the POCO M3 Pro 5G would take over most hardware specifications, but packaged in an even more affordable product.
For reference, the original Redmi Note 10 5G comes with a 6.5-inch FHD + screen and a refresh rate at 90Hz, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, a 48MP camera and a 5000mAh battery with fast charging at 18W. It is not clear what the Pro 5G edition will lose, but we can take as a starting point the exterior finishes and the branding engraved on the back cover.
On the software side, POCO phones usually come with more ads sneaked into the Android menus, but otherwise, about the same MIUI 12 firmware.
Differentiated by a single letter added to the model name, the new Xiaomi phone will probably be unveiled first for the Chinese market, but it could also reach European stores. In the basic equipment, the phone could have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, UFS 2.2 type. The rumored price for the Chinese market is the equivalent of $ 152, considerably less than the amount required of European buyers to choose the 5G variant launched under the Redmi brand.
