The Moto G60 receives preview images and a preliminary list of specifications, outlining a solid option for the budget range.
Motorola continues to expand the Moto G family, the new G60 coming with a modernized design that changes the drop cut applied to the front camera with a much more discreet, centrally applied perforation.
Indicating a slightly wider “chin” at the bottom and a capacitive fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the case, the 6.78-inch diagonal screen should be LCD. But the compromise is not so great, Motorola selecting a copy with FHD + resolution (2460 × 1080 pixels) and refresh rate at 120Hz, more than enough for a smooth experience in Android games.
The Moto G60 comes in a configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (UFS 2.1), backed by a 6000mAh battery. The Snapdragon 732G chipset is a 4G model with medium level performance.
Built around the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, the camera promises an excellent level of quality and reasonable performance in low light conditions. Unfortunately, expectations are a bit tempered for the 16MP ultra-wide camera, made with an OV16A1Q sensor provided by the Chinese manufacturer OmniVision. The list of specifications is completed with macro and DoF sensors of 2MP each. The front camera is a 32MP model, promising reasonable image quality.
Motorola will optimize photo performance in low light conditions with a new low-light, AI-assisted capture mode. The capture application will also have functions such as document mode for “scanning” text documents, smudge detection and dual video capture, the latter allowing the simultaneous use of the front camera and the main one for pictures and videos.
Unfortunately, the launch date and price of the Moto G60 are not known yet.
