Why Apple ditched the 3.5 mm audio jack?

iphone-7-concept-2The all new Apple SmartPhones, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are all geared up to go on sale tomorrow in selected countries. As read on our older posts, the new iPhones have got a better battery, a dual camera, a better processor but lacked the 3.5 mm headphone jack. And now we know why Apple did this so-called ‘courageous’ move.

 

The audio jack was taking way too much of space and killing it was the only option for the Cupertino Company to upgrade the new iPhones with a bigger Taptic Engine, which provides the haptic feedback for the display’s 3D Touch technology, as well as the new Touch ID button. Meanwhile, the home button on the new iPhones are no longer clickable and are made touch sensitive.
