As of this summer, OnePlus will take up support for the Android Q Beta version until Android Q is ready to be released. It was one of the users’ demands: easier loading on and hopping off. One should not mistake the Android Q Developer Preview 2 for OnePlus with Android Q Beta 2 GSI for Pixel phones.
Upsides and downsides
The first thing that OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro users should do is to install the Android Q Beta 2 OTA files. One downside of it is that this will remove all data of their gadget. Users of Beta 1 program will not experience a data wipe as they utilize different images. An upside is that users can downgrade the program in order to return to Android 9 using the rollback feature, as the company has taught us over the years.
Other downsides of this Beta update is that reading mode and Display mode do not function. Another thing that does not operate as it should is the verification dialogue box that should pop up when the users connect to a Wi-Fi anonymously.
